Your First Visit to FUMC

FUMC FAQs

Where is the church?

First United Methodist Church is located in the heart of downtown Eufaula.  We are on the corner of Highway 431 and Barbour Street.

Where do I park?

Parking is available in the lot off of Hwy. 431 and also in the lot on Barbour Street.

What time are the services?

Worship services are routinely held at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.  On some special occasions, however, one service is held at 10:00 a.m.  Please verify the time for the Sunday you would like to visit by checking the calendar.

What will the service be like?

It depends on the service.  The 8:30 service tends to be smaller than the 11:00 a.m. service. The 11:00 a.m. service features our Chancel Choir.  Both services are traditional in nature and last about one hour.

What should I wear to FUMC?

Please wear whatever makes you comfortable.  Many men wear coats and ties to the 11:00 a.m. service, but that is certainly not a requirement!

Where do my children go during the services?

There are a couple of options.  If your child is age three or younger, you have the option to leave them in the nursery with our loving & caring staff during either service.  The 11:00 a.m. service features a Children's Sermon.

May I receive communion?

Communion is typically offered at FUMC on the first Sunday of each month.  Our communion table is open to everyone -- young and old, Methodist or not!
